Marketing psychology is not just for the elite. Anyone can notice trends or go online and see what is popular. To make marketing psychology easily available for every one I have broken it down into a couple of basic marketing tactics:
- Write your qualifying question
- Outline your characteristics of your product/service clearly
- Deal with objections or problems buying tactfully
So to touch on what a qualifying question is, it is a question that helps a prospective buyer determine whether they have the issue(s) your product or service solves and is typically a closed-ended question (a question that elicits a yes/no response). For example, for a popular antiwrinkle face cream, the qualifying question would likely be “are you struggling with fine lines and wrinkles?”
Next, you want to outline the branding, features and benefits of your product. So sticking with the antiwrinkle cream, you may want to outline that your cream can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in 2 weeks.
Finally, when you are dealing with your prospective buyers directly, you want to deal with objections or buying problems tactfully. This will help the customer build trust in you and as a result be more willing to try your product or service.
